Evette Davis is a Stakeholder Liaison representative for the Internal Revenue Service, Communications & Liaison Division located in Charlotte, N.C.
She currently works very closely with various N.C. and S.C. Federal, State and Local governments as well as industries and business organizations. Her purpose is to educate stakeholders about recent tax law changes, available small business products and services necessary to promote longevity and voluntary compliance. She is the area lead for Small Business Tax Workshops, Disaster Assistance and Small Business Forums.
Davis began her career with the IRS in 1988 as a Cooperative Education student in the Compliance Division. In 1990, she joined the IRS as a Revenue Officer in Columbia, S.C. In 2005, she became a Tax Specialist in Charlotte, N.C. She coordinates and conducts numerous tax seminars and workshops that successfully educated small business owners and industry leaders throughout N.C. and S.C.
Davis graduated from South Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Office Management in 1990. She embraces every opportunity to educate and communicate with organizations in small business communities throughout the Carolinas.
